It’s the month of May already and what does that mean? Besides National Asparagus, Strawberry and Salsa Month (didn’t know about that last one – yay salsa!), we are half way through spring, half way through this pandemic detour route (hopefully) and on our way to a couple of fun, celebratory and meaningful holidays – Mother’s Day and Memorial weekend. Likely, they will be different than they’ve ever been. But then that’s been our world for the last 6-8 weeks. Different.
Speaking of strawberries and salsa, check out this creative, delicious recipe that includes both plus a few more tasty and healthy ingredients! You can skip the honey or maple syrup if you choose.
Unfortunately, many significant events have been changed, postponed or completely canceled. For many of us, we have had to shift, adjust, pivot, acclimate, roll with it, tolerate, accept (or deny), evolve and hopefully GROW in some way. Growth is tough! So is change. It usually doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, attention, persistence, faith and a little grit doesn’t hurt. It’s just like with weight loss, switching to a healthier diet, letting go of addictions, medical condition resolution, completion of academic programs, advancements in careers, raising children, fighting pandemics and more. Keep growing and keep positively changing!
“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.” ~ Abraham Maslow, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
In the spirit of the month of May, spring, growth and change, I propose several good wishes for all of you.
May you have minimal pain and suffering in this lifetime. And when you do, may you learn from that.
May you experience excellent health and vitality – physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.
May you experience and create more peace and reframe your stress.
May you have compassion for our fellow human beings, even when they are being extremely difficult or different than you.
May you be successful in following and reaching all of your dreams, goals and desires throughout life.
May you genuinely trust yourself and heed the intuitive messages you receive.
